Come live the experience of a day camp focusing on fun and leisure in an English immersion environment, with bilingual counsellors.
The English Experience Day Camp offers a total immersion in English. Without even being noticing it, your child will learn everyday English in a fun environment of games, sports, arts, technology and more! The bilingual camp counsellors will converse in English with the children and will encourage them to do the same.
No class, no homework, only fun activities… in the language of Shakespeare!
Following 12 successful years of day camps at Collège Letendre in Laval, the College now offers an English-language camp to its English-speaking clientele. French-speaking and allophones children are also invited to take advantage of this 100% English immersion opportunity.
The day camp programme includes specialized and diversified activities, under the supervision of bilingual counsellors, including an excursion outside the camp plus a free lunch on Friday - all entirely in English!
YOUR CHILDREN DAY CAMP EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
Now 2 locations in LAVAL
Letendre day camp, 1000 De l'Avenir Blvd. in Laval
Camp des leaders at Collège Citoyen, 4001 Ste-Rose Blvd. in Laval
(TBD - March 2016)
The eligible age for a specific programme corresponds to the child's age on September 30 (parents may be asked to provide a proof of age upon registration).
A programme may be cancelled due to an insufficient number of registrations. When a programme is complete, waiting lists are kept as additional groups may be formed if there is sufficient interest.
Subject to availabilities, it is possible to change programme prior the child's arrival at the day camp.
A refund may be issued for the following reasons (upon presentation of a proof of evidence):
No refund will be issued, for whatever reason, for any day of absence during the day camp period for which the child is registered. As well no refund will be issued for a programme that has already started. If a programme is cancelled by the camp, a full refund will be issued. A $25 administrative fee will be charged per child for any cancellation made before or on May 31st. A $25 administrative fee will be charged per child, for each week of registration, for any cancellation made after May 31st. No refund will be issued for any cancellation made less than seven (7) days prior to the beginning of the day camp week for which a child has been registered.
It depends what age your child will be on September 30 of the next school year. Let’s say we’re in the current school year 2050-2051 and that your 10-year old child will have turned 11 years old by September 30 of the next school year (2051-2052). Then you must register your child in the 11-14 years old group.
There are several reasons that explain why this day camp is unique and exceptional! First, all our camps are members of the Association des camps du Québec (ACQ). The ACQ currently conducts regular checks in our camps. In addition, the English Experience Day Camp is located on a private college’s sites. These large facilities are modern, safe and air-conditioned. The dynamic and dedicated camp counsellors are fully trained to take care of your children. All our camp counsellors receive more than 70 hours of training each year plus first aid and CPR training given by the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Finally, we offer a wide range of unique programmes sure to please all children.
When you register online, it is possible to check which groups are still open, thus ensuring that you can register your children in the groups you want. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel a programme due to an insufficient number of registrations.
If you prefer to use the registration form (and send it by mail, email, fax, or deliver it in person at our administration office), due to the period of time required to process registration files, it may happen that some groups are full at the time we process your file. In such case, our administrative assistants will contact you to find a solution.
